Powered by a VW industrial engine with an output of 35 kW (46 PS), i.e. a four stroke four cylinder engine with magnet ignition and air-cooled by a fan. It has both an electric starter and a crank handle. The fuel tank has a volume of approx. 18 l of petrol and thus makes it possible to operate the equipment for approx. 2 hours.

The automatic AIW liquid ring venting system is fully effective over the entire speed range of the centrifugal pump, with the system being operated without inlet and outlet valves, so that it is especially resistant against waste water/effluent.
